I don't have much to say other than I think splitscreen capabilities would be a great addition to this API.

You could proberly create a split screen via creating multiple camera's. just a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to try it, but it would help greatly if you would give me your opinion on how you would go about it.

As far as i can see, the SwinGame API has no functions to create multiple cameras. You could emulate this effect yourself by manually controlling the coordinates of everything that was rendered and render things as though there were two cameras but then you would need to create your own map system as Mappy wouldn't work well with this.

You can set a clipping area to do this. The clipping area defines where you can draw on an image or the screen. Using this you could set the clipping area to one side of the screen, do the drawing then set the clipping to the other side etc...
